Club Questionnaire:

Nickname: Da-da

How long have you been building models? Not counting high school, 7-8 years

How long have you been a member of MassCar? 2001

What do you usually build? Stock / modified Mopar muscle

Where do you usually build?  The basement

How many built models do you have? Some broke when we moved. No more than a dozen now.

Do you ever take built models and run them around on the table or floor making "Vroom, vroom" noises? When I was little, we us ed to play with model cars instead of Matchbox cars. That made for lots of broken parts. I always picked the cars with rolling wheels.

How many unbuilt models do you have?  70 or so

What are your favorite 3 models you have built? Replica of my old '68 Charger, replica of my '72 Demon, Blade '68 Charger

Have you ever won an award for building a model? A few. I gave all the trophies to Steve-O to recycle though.

Are you bitter about it? An award is a compliment, but there are many award-winning models out there that get overlooked at shows. I don’t think you need a trophy to enjoy what you’ve done, but a pat on the back is always nice.

Did you take your medication today? Yes, moonshine is a cure-all.

What 3 models should win an all time kit of the century award? I was never big on Ertl in the 80s, however, AMT’s 71 Duster is a good kit with nice detail. As far as two more, I’ll have to let you know.

What 3 models are so horrible that you would buy them j us t to protect others from having to build them? I wouldn't even waste a dime on a Lindberg model.

What do you drive now? ‘95 Dodge Ram, '69 Dodge Super Bee

Are you bitter about it? If I was driving my wife’s Camry, I might be.

Are you saving your pennies for something fun to drive? Maybe a '68 SS Dart clone

With an unlimited budget, what 10 full size cars would you have in your garage? '69 ½ Superbee (440 6-pack), replica '69 Dirty Mary Crazy Larry Charger, Original ’68 Super Stock Hemi Dart, a new Mr. Norm's '68 GSS Hemi Dart, '69 Hemi Super Bee, Little Red Express, ’70 Vanishing Point Challenger replica, an old pick-up, a ’49 Packard and maybe a new Hemi Challenger.

What (if any) person (living or dead) in the 1:1 automotive world would you like to meet? No one in particular.

Do you go to car shows? Not since I moved back to MA.

Do you go because Tony makes you? No.

What are your favorite car shows and why? Klem's in Spencer on Wednesdays, Hebert's Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury is good on Thursdays, Riley's in Framingham on Saturdays.

Do you have kids? Yes.

If yes, how many and what are their ages? Matthew was 16 months in January 2007.

Do you build models with them? Not yet.

Would you like a medal? Not particularly.

Essay question: What else should you tell us ? "Mopar or no car." "It takes a Mopar to catch a Mopar." "My wife, yes. My dog, maybe. My Dodge, never!"
